Our Approach

Evolve Equity® innovates systems change by bridging scientific methodologies with Indigenous wisdom. Developed by Indigenous trauma psychologist and systems-change strategist Dr. Jonnie Williams, our framework recognizes that meaningful transformation requires both systematic solutions and generational commitment. This integration creates powerful, sustainable change that honors both evidence-based practices and traditional knowledge systems.

Our Three Pillars of Transformation

1.Evolving Systems

We transform outdated structures into equitable frameworks through evidence-based organizational change strategies. Our approach acknowledges historical context while building future-focused solutions.

2.Reducing Disparities

We implement evidence-based strategies to close gaps through systematic assessment, targeted interventions, and continuous measurement of outcomes for sustainable impact.

Healing

3.Healing

We facilitate restoration and growth for marginalized communities through trauma-informed practices, cultural wisdom, and strengths-based approaches to collective healing.

Five Core Approaches to Create Equity-Centered Change

The path from vision to reality requires both strong foundations and practical methods. Our three pillars establish the vision, while our five core approaches provide the framework for implementing meaningful, sustainable change. Together, they form a comprehensive strategy that honors both scientific evidence and cultural wisdom.

(1) Values-Driven: We acknowledge core values and needs to create trusting, safe, and inclusive environments.

(2) Scientific: We utilize methods and skills informed by neuroscience, applied psychology, and prevention science.

(3) Collaborative: We respect diverse perspectives and ways of knowing to build transparent, collaborative, and authentic relationships.

(4) Strengths-Based: We identify, grow, and enhance protective factors.

(5) Narrative: We harness the power of data-driven storytelling and amplify the voices of those who are unheard or have been historically silenced.
